I went from 32.5 to 38 the extra 6 feet makes a big difference. There is no difference between towing or backing as far as I'M concerned. Very few time have I had problems in any park state, US, COE or Private of getting it in. The space and floor plan is what you'll like going bigger.
This is my opinion.
Your smart for buying used.

As Glenn said more waxing.. But worth it..
Also I'd never buy a painted one I always feeling like I need to wash and wax.
But it's sure pretty.

Here is our floor plan

I have found that most of the floor plans we like are at least 34 feet long.
I also saw a used Bighorn advertised that had a floor plan I really liked.
It is 38 feet long.

We are very mindful thanks to all of you here of the overall weight and weight of pin issue as it relates to the size of truck needed to pull the fiver.

Outside of a weight issue would any of you have an opinion as to whether it is any more effort to tow and take care of a 38 foot fiver as compared to a 34 foot model?

It seems as though models smaller than this are not as attractive floor plan wise. It will be only DH and I as well as our small dog so the number of places to sleep are not so important as it would be to some.

Once more I thank you all for your kind advice,

We purchased a 37ft Keystone rather then a 30ft my wife wanted. In towing I don't think 7ft makes any difference but in Living it makes it so much nicer. Also picked up a 06 F350 Dually. You need a 40 acre field to turn around so as a everyday shop til you drop its a pain plus at 14 or less mpg (empty) and diesel prices. It's costly.
