Blessing in Disguise..........

Jim and I were looking on the internet. Found what we liked. Local Dealership we always did business with had one but just sold it. BUMMER.
They ordered another one and we were told it would be 4 wks. then 6 weeks then 2 months. This would have been the 2nd RV we buy from them within 2 yrs. They knew we had excellent credit and really wanted the 5er.

We decided to internet search some more. Lo and Behold we found the same 5er but $5000.00 less.

Local dealership finally got the 5er in from factory. We were going to be good and I asked if we pay cash would they come down a couple of thousand dollars. Nope. They tried to play hard ball and lost. Well they lost a $33,000.00 cash sale.

The only difference was w/d connection and a built in fireplace. I figured Jim and I could spend quality time at a washateria folding towels and I bought a portable fireplace for $140.00 bucks. I think we did good.

We had to drive 300 miles to pick it up but well worth it. There's a dealership by Jim's job that sells and does warranty work for FV.

Oh well, guess I will have to go make some lemonade!

Sorry you lost the trailer but as others have said it was not meant to be, and there is better one that you just haven't found it yet.

I am confused though, (not that is takes much), you said you put a deposit on it. Doesn't a deposit normally "hold" a unit from sale to someone else, while you arrange the final deal?

No I was going over to put a deposit on it when this horrific snowstorm blew in over night... if you re-read I believe I said I was going to...

Yes, had I made the deposit it wouldn't have been sold.

Have found another, y'all were right.. needs some work, but no leaks!

I just sold my Travel Supreme and the number of calls I received back after I sold it was unreal! The number of people that waited, then decided this was the MH for them were very disappointed. The market is coming back, if it what you want jump on it or it will be gone. I even had one guy offer a $1,000. higher if I would break the contract.

We found exactly what we wanted on the other side of the state and couldn't make a deal. Said our credit was not good enough??? Went home got on the internet and found the exact one again nly 300 miles in the other direction anf $8000 less!! Went and looked and it was in MINT condition and made the deal and they delivered for free so it saved another trip and the GAS!! Never did call and ask about the credit thing???

Kind of like my new towed.. The dealer never ask my credit rating....

Of course I handed him a cashier's check for the full amount of the sale.
