Disappointed

Well the phone rang with sad news this AM, The 5er that I was to put a deposit on this week has been sold and now I have to go out on the hunt again, it was a winterized unit and came with the TV and was perfect for me.
I am soooo disappointed to sat the least (we had a big snowstorm yesterday and I couldn't get to the vendor as promised and someone who has been hesitating for longer than I had been looking came over with a certified cheque. :banghea

Oh well, guess I will have to go make some lemonade!

Cheer up! I drive by the RV sales lots and see an unlimited supply of RVs waiting to be sold. Should be easy to find another unless the one you had chosen was a special custom rig.....

I wouldn't worry about it being winterized and having a TV. Both are easy to come across and get going.

I think you may have been sent a message that this was not the best unit for you.
There is a better one somewhere around the corner. Best of luck.

Yes...same thing happened to us, too. I felt really sad....depressed...but then I had to remind myself that if it were the one for us, it would have been there till we got there. It turns out that it really was NOT the best unit for us, as we have seen much better since!

So, I have now come to a point of not being in a panic to get there when I spot something far away. I just believe and pray that it will be there when we can get there. It sure feels so much more peaceful this way!

My wife scotched a deal on a left over 2012 Dutch Star about 8 months ago, now she wishes she hadn't done that! I keep hoping for another to come along but no luck so far! They had a good price on it, only wanted $25,000 down and 3.49%. We could have cashed it out without too much trouble though.

Back in 2003, I had confirmed a deal over the phone on a 2002 Monaco Windsor in Tampa Florida. I was making reservations on the weekend but Monday I got an email stating that they sold the coach locally.

Guess what, within a few days of getting back on the Internet to search one more time, I found one that had a better floor-plan and a far better interior. It was exactly perfect and I have been living in it since purchasing it back in December of 2003. Plus it was only a 3 hour drive from where I was living in California versus flying across the country to Florida.

You can be guaranteed that a far better RV is in your future, trust me!

There is a reason for every disappointment. Just wasn't the right time for the 5ver. There will be more out there. Best of luck in your search.

Thank you all so much for your kind words and support, I must say I had many of the same thoughts... and cheered myself up with another trip through the internet, I found one that had been posted only a few hours earlier and emailed right away, but haven't heard back ... yet, maybe this one isn't 'the one' either, but I sure wish it was!!

All I could think was oh boy this could be my lemonade!!

I have a couple more in line and a couple of good used TV ...

We shall see what comes up, I trust the universe will find exactly what I need, not necessarily what I want ...

thank you all for your consolation and I am glad to hear you found what was perfect for you...

Blessings to all....

Everything happens for a reason.

In the meantime I'll have another lemon aid with you.
