dishwasher in Redwood 39FL

One of the options I was considering on my new Redwood is not available on the 39FL and as I learn not really necessary in the FL version ( talking here about the slide in slide for the bedroom) the bedroom in the 39FL is fine for me, plenty of room to move around in. So I was considering using the money I saved on that item to add a dishwasher to the unit. I cook a lot and with only myself to do dishes for at this point..thought even a small dishwasher would be a nice option. Pros and Cons?

I suspect that the reason it is not available for the FL is there is no place to put it.

They dishwashers in some models...so they can install a DW in the FL. I think we saw a Redwood FL at a show and it had the DW.

Dishwasher

I would go for the dishwasher in whatever form it would fit in the unit. Some have gone with a countertop model but they gobble up a pile of counterspace, then you need to find somewhere to store it when not being used. Maybe the shower.
Dishwashers can get the dishes cleaner than by hand. Also use less water. Eggs Benedict are a fav for me on the weekend and getting dishes squeaky clean is just not possible without a d/w.
Yesterday my Fisher Paykel dishwasher drawer was installed, today the first load went thru. Everything came out squeaky clean.

Another bonus is dirty dishes don't pile up in the sink or on the counter.

My trailer has a clothes washer and separate dryer above with a 12" space between. I removed the dryer and bought a shorter one and opened up the space between enough to fit the dishwasher. Power, hot and cold water as well as the drain were right there.

Total cost for DW and labor to install about $1100, new dryer about $1000.

Hope that helps.

Yep, the Redwood FL is available with a Dishwasher, the bedroom is not available with a Slide in a Slide like a Rear Living because the FLs rear bedroom has opposing slides so you get about the same amount of room as a Slide in a Slide front bedroom.
