Docking lights will not go out

I have a 2011 keystone cougar 324rlb which has the two docking lights up front. I just came back to my camper and they are on and will not go off. I took the switch to the lights off and disconnected the wires and they still would not turn off. I also turned all power off and they stayed on any help is appreciated

If memory serves me correctly, they can only be controlled by the remote control. I believe they (the two smallish LED pin box illuminators) are wired through the remote control panel in the forward storage compartment and their power (everything controlled by the remote) is straight from the battery and short of removing the battery physically (the disconnect switch won't turn that panel "off" either), you have to use the remote to turn them off.

Had the same "problem" with our Montana when new, and yep, ya gotta use the remote to turn that little booger off.

Remote

Is the remote you are talking about the little hand held one. I had the same problem so I just took the bulb out. I Will go back to work and see if I can fix the problem. Thanks for the help.

On the Keystone Montana's, you can turn them on and off with an inside switch, unless you used the hand held remote to turn them on, in which case the only way to turn them off is to use the remote.

Send a message via ICQ to wandering1
most remotes are small hand held.
