Drooping front cap seam on Forest River Silverback
I have a 2011 Cedar Creek Silverback, model 29RE. I have noticed the seam underneath the front cap near the hitch pin has a gap when the unit is connected to the fifth wheel with the weight of the unit on it. In looking further by pulling the rubber cover from the screw joint I found at least one screw missing from the factory and at least one other completely pulled away from the frame. My question of anyone who has had this similar experience is whether the solution is to replace these screws with the next larger screw; increase the number of screws in this seam; and whether the platform under this front cap is wood or is it metal? The existing screws are self tapping metal screws so I assume its metal.

Imo you are having an issue with frame flex and maybe a broken weld. Get it to a qualified service center post haste. The bottom area around the pin box will need to be dropped and inspected.
I had a Cedar Creek that did that. Water had leaked into the plywood bottom surrounding the pin box. I had to pull it all out and install waterproof plywood, then button it back up.
