With all the RV name plates that THOR has bought out, how soon will it be before they fall into the area of forming a monopoly????

Actually, they were acquired by Thor's subsidiary Heartland RV and will fall under the Heartland umbrella...

Heartland is under the same CEO and staff as the others THOR. Maybe it will be THOR and Forest River before long! Buffett owns Forest River so don't see them selling he's a long haul guy. Maybe Buffett owns a lot of Lippert now It's a race to buy out Lippert and truly control the industry.haha I heard they are not going to mess with DRV but they said that about others to.

From another forum-Forest River is a 1.6 billion dollar company ,Thor is a tenth of that.

I consider this more bad news for the RV industry. Thor = lower standards! IMHO

I thought Keystone was a subsidiary of Thor too.
When one company owns too many name plates, especially in certain price points bracket, quality will be lowered.

Just part of the Merger Mania that has been going on for several years....
As the quality declines, or prices rise, or whatever, some little guys will jump in, and carve out a piece of the pie with good quality at a reasonable price.
The market takes care of itself, when left alone, and we do not allow the government to favor their friends.

All I know is when I called about warranty issues for my Aerolite I got Keystone. Aerolite used to be a sub-set of Dutchman owned by Thor.
Maybe Fleetwood will buy the whole company to get back into the tow-able RV business again.
