Dutchman Infinity series

Looking into 5th wheels. Does anyone have any information on the Dutchman Infinity series? Also any recommendations on new 5th wheel hitches. I currently have an 2011 GMC 3500 CC 4x4 Duramax that needs to be outfitted.

Had a brand new frontliving 5 slider full body paint in the park last week. They were having some new RV problems and the Dutchman rep was down working on the unit. After 3 days they had the problems ironed out and the owner even admitted some of the problems were of his own doing. A really nice unit. We looked at one at camping world b4 this one, not as decked out, but it had some really good features.

Talking

We just bought ours in July. It is in for the electrical recall for the hydraulic slides. And they are working on the galley slide, under warranty. Some little cosmetic stuff needs adjusted. We love it. There is so much room and storage, I think we will enjoy staying in it when we can finally retire. For now we will use it for short stays and vacations. I've seen some on here scoff at Dutchmen for being lower quality, but I think they wouldn't be in business this long if they were so bad. And our last 5er was a Snowbird by Nuwa, and before that it was a Terry 5er. So now this is our choice, A beautiful Infinity. You can look at the floor plan which is always important for us, and figure that is the thing it would be hardest to change at any future time. You could replace this n' that but moving a wall would not be easy to do. We liked our floor plan, and the decor is to our liking, everything feels right to us, so we are happy, now whether you would feel the same is up to you.

The factory service center manager allowed us to tour 3 Infinity 5ers they were building there in 2009. These were pre-production units being made to compare the actual units to engineering drawings. They appeared to be the same high quality as our Grand Junction, only with vastly different floorplans. Nearly had to drag DW out of them she was so taken.

You already know to have any leaks fixed ASAP. Insist they use the Sealtech Manufacturing Inc. - RV leaks bubbles recreational vehicles to find ALL the leaks.

we have the leeks fixed it is just that a new rv that cost this much has leeks and recall switches and saw dust all over under the cabnets and in the water lines that it plugs up the faset just shotie work and then tell you to take it back to the dealer thay will fix it and thay keep it for months

The answer to that question depends on the king pin arrangement on the 5th wheel, is it a solid pin box or a pin box with a built in suspension system (it should only be on one, not both)
For example, the King Pin box on our New Horizons is a solid steel box/pin, due to the weight of the frame and rig. The hitch is a 3 bag Hensley TrailerSaver.

Reasoning: For heavier rigs, hitches can have a more robust suspension system to handle the bumps and grinds of the road as they are not as space limited as suspension systems built into a King Pin box.

So the answer to your question is ToBeDetermined!

we have a 2012 infinity 3520ms, before that we had a dutchmen colorado and both units were garbage. purchased from camping world, the infinity we have now has had major repairs done to, 4 door frig. hot water tank, ceiling fan, wooden blinds, slides, level-up-system and now the roof seals and fiberglass front cap. the roof had to be resealed due to poor material, the paint on front fiberglass cap has faded so badly it has to be repainted. Dutchmen customer service is very bad, they just hope you get tired of calling and pay for repairs yourself. We owned a forest river cardinal, was our first one, should have stayed with them, had it for 5 years with no problems at all. Our colorado was a 2010 and after less than a year traded for infinity thinking it was a better quality, wrong, just cost a lot more for same crap. Also look at newmar 5th wheels, they are good too, hope this helps Chuck
