Dynamax Trilogy

Am looking for information from current Trilogy owners. We visited the factory a few days ago and plan to order mid-June for end of August delivery. Have done a lot of research and even educated several Trilogy salesmen, but haven't talked with any owners because units are so new on the market. Would like to get info from owners.

Trilogy

We went to Lazy days 2 weeks ago and saw the 2012 model 3800. We are also interested in becoming more serious about the company. More interested in the 3850 model, all enclosed shower/head/sink. Adds an extra 2 wardrobes. But still must check clearence into bathroom with slide in, on the 3850 it is 16.5" The redwood equivalent model did not come with a pocket door so we discounted it. The regular door is a problem. Could not access the bathroom with the slide closed. The trilogy has a pocket door. The 3800 does not offer privacy for if one is in the shower you can not access the master, though they went one step farther than redwood and had speckled glass in shower. A rounded corner shower gives more usable room than a longated shower. It also had a huge skylight that was a tremendous heat sink. They said the 2013 will be smoke covered. You can not get a stacking washer dryer needs 66", there is 60". Might be able to have them side/side. Thermo windows/the new type shades in 2013. Need to look at a Mobile Suites DRV to finally choose. Still do not like a kitchen sink in an island setup. I make too much of a mess to be on view when you first walk-in to the rv. A back splash would helkp to hide kitchen sink clutter. The residential frig is great and the radius cabinetry woodwork is excellent. Reminds us of the Airstream radius walls. A cookers kitchen, but has to be configured a little better. Need a 15kbtuw/heat pump in master and ducted to get air into bathroom. The 2012 3800 was not ducted in the master so the head had no air supply other than the ceiling exhaust. The unit is not made for entertainment music lovers you'll have to after market. Felt more solid than the Redwood, but different, more understated. No running stripes prancing across the gelcoat just shaded tones, good.Cabinetry cornices and handles were modern but classic, I like it like that, dont want ethan allen. These things are important because you have no venturi windows or skylights like the Airstream which adds much to the atmospherics. A Skylight would be a great idea, but I quess when you have a 8'8" ceiling it would be difficult to design a shade. With a king you only have a night stand on one side. Since you have radius walls the windows are not frameless, but they open as sliders like in their dynamax couches which gives more air than the frameless knob crankouts typical in other 5vers. We are planning a trip up north and will try to visit the factory and if we proceed attempt to customize a few things......or more.

The Forest River Dynamax Trilogy website shows only one model = 3800 D3. Where did you see a floorplan for a 3850?

Trilogy 3850

If you go to their website at Dynamax and navigate to the Trilogy models there is a brochure download pdf, that is the 2013 specs and layouts. There are a few other things like thermo pane, extra patio canopy, H rated tires, maybe a few others. The problem is the brochure is not labeled 2013. I talked to the sales manager at the factory on these items thought they were discrepencies before he told me they were part of the new 2013 changes. They just have not yet changed over the main pages. They seem to want to upload the options as standard on the front end a good idea. You might have to be a good negotiator to get them to add at the factory.

Long time later but does anyone still have one?

Does anyone still have one of the 3850D3's?
Or, if not, how did you like it while you did have it?
Looking at a full timer, been looking at the newer stuff that cost 4 times what one I found this morning cost but it looks like a nice rig.
Luxury? Even in today's standards it looks like a very nice and comfortable coach.
Can anyone give their 2 pennies of experiences in the Dynamax Trilogy 3850 D3 models? The dealer has it labeled as a 3850RL but the photo of the side of the rig says D3.

Quality? Suspension. (Have no idea if this one has an upgrade yet. doing some research before giving the dealer my contact info. We all know what happens then.. )

We looked at different models of Trilogys for about a year. Was impressed with the design and features. I believe they had a fiberglass roof until 2015.

There wasn't a large number of units for sale and as we got closer to purchasing, the prices of those units had increased dramatically. Had started looking at DRVs, partly because of the 15" frame and independent suspension, and when we were ready to buy, a DRV was what we ended up getting.

We had the Trilogy on our radar until we found out they were going to stop building them, then a few years later the River Stone line was introduced, which is a stand alone manufacture within the Forest River family which filled the void of Trilogy ending, might want to check them out. Sorry but be advised much like everything else their prices have gone up also. Trilogy was a very nice unit but some did have suspension issues and axle problems.
