I have the customflow tailgate and it is very easy to remove, had to add a bike lock to it just in case someone decided they need a gate.

I solve the problem another way. I remove the tailgate when hooking up and unhooking. When completed I reinstal my tail gate. This way I have but one tailgate and when in place it seals the end of my bed cover.

The popular "Handy" brand louvered notched tailgate removes just like the factory gate. no tools needed. It comes off so easily that I did add a radiator hose clamp
to slow down anyone wanting to borrow it.
Quality unit at a good price
