Electrical Problem

We recently purchased a 2013 5th wheel and when doing some add ons I have noticed a slight tingle of small voltage when touching the fame. I handy at making repairs,I realize it a positive ground problem. Any advice on when to begin?

Not an electrician but would start with turning off all breakers. Maybe check each one individually to narrow it down. Not good.

You didn't say if this is when you are plugged in or not. The "hotskin" is not good. Here is some info;

Two things that I've started doing. Using a hand held circuit tester to test the skin. Leaving a circuit tester plugged into an outlet that is easily visible.

No Shock Zone

I would start by checking ground connections . The frame should be connected to ground , so you should not get a tingle when touching it.

You have a hot skin issue. Google it.

If your plugged in, with a cord with the ground cut off, repaired wrong, or a miss-wired outlet, it can cause this.

You fixed the symptom, but not the cause. The ground circuit should not be carrying current. In an RV the neutral and ground are separate (unlike your house). As previously mentioned research Hot Skin, this needs to be completely fixed. First thing i would look at is your water heater, a failed element is one of the most common causes of this issue.

I did read and watch the videos on hotskin. I purchased a fluke tester checked my power source and worked my way to camper found defected 110 volt cord I used for shore power. After replacing cord I check all around the camper for stray voltage. The fluke tested will stay with the camper and I will preform checks to assure camper is safe. I learned alot from the article and purchased a surge guard/ power protector.
