Everest 293 help needed

I am a newbie in all areas of ownership of my camper. It is a 2004 Everest 293 and I can't figure out how to access the speakers in the bedroom ceiling. I ran across this hookup tonight in the right hand front double door mirrors. It is in the ceiling. At one time there was something screwed to the top shelf but now there is nothing there . What is this hookup for? Also there is a black switch inside the front door that says "bedroom" on it with an on off position. This has nothing to do with my bedroom lights. What is this switch for?

Welcome to the forum.

The speaker leads probably run to the main entertainment cabinet (receiver).
Best of luck.
