I would say it is the luck of the draw if something goes wrong. Their is no right answer. If you cannot or do not want to do repairs then buy one. Make sure the company is reputable-some have gone out of business and you get stuck. Good luck.

We also purchased an extended warranty and glad we did. We had an issue with the MH that took over 2 months and four repair shops to resolve and they picked up most of the associated charges of $3000. The sad part is the root cause was found to be a $16 part. Thank goodness for the warranty. When you purchase a 100k plus unit the problems are bound to be expensive.

We purchased our from the dealership but if I had to do it again I would wait, do some research and purchase myself. I am sure the dealers get a cut...

Of course a business gets a cut of whatever they sell . . . they are a business.
