Extened Warranty
Explore USA is recommending (I'm shocked) an extended warranty as part of the sale of a new Redwood 5th wheel.
In most instances I pass on these kinds of add-ons. However, since my wife and will be full timing, I'm giving it consideration.
The package is from Xtra Ride. This is in addition to a 2 year manufacturers warranty.
Anyone have any experience with this provider? Other suggestions?
Thanks

I went with good sam along with their road side assistance...
why ? just because I wanted it all from one place...
you know, that 'one throat to choke' game plan

the website can explain it better than I
Auto and RV Extended Service Plans | Better Than Extended Warranty
RV Extended Warranty - Good Sam Extended Service Plan
good luck with your decision...
and remember all prices are negotiable - even for your dealer...
(sometimes that might be ok if you do not full time and near your home base more so your dealer can do the honors !)

When we bought our Excel in June the dealer never even mentioned it. I was ready to say no but didn't have to. We had one thru Route 66 on our motorhome that ran for 6 years. Used it once for a small item, no problems. The next issue was a little more costly and they fought me til I just gave up. Never again.

Everyone of them is in business to make money. I was told to put the same amount of money in a fund and let it build up and at the end of the time period you are considering for insurance compare what you still have left in the fund to the premium you would have paid. So far I'm way ahead but who knows it could come crashing down on me however I am well beyond the time frame that I was considering for the extended warranty.

I think Extra-ride was what we got on our new 5er when we bought it last fall. Check to see if it has roadside assistance and towing included for the truck and 5er. Thats what did it for me. It will pay for itself if I use it one time for that. My tow rig is a 57 2ton and needs a big truck wrecker to tow it. I also like that for the next 7 years if anything happens I have a $25 deductible and they come and fix it.
