A couple of fifth wheel hitch builders also build adaptors for different brands of trucks.

Don't know about the others, but the Ram puck mounts are directly on top of the frame rails.

Thank you

I suspected as much. I will be buying a new hitch then for the new chevy and getting rid of the Ford compatable hitch.

Thanks to all for the replies

If you have a B&W hitch now, you can buy just a new base for around 4-450 bucks. Other brands - no idea.

B&W Companion

I have the Curt Q20 which is about 10 years old. I could buy new legs for that for about $350ish I believe but think its better to go totally new. I'm 90+ % sure I will be buying the B&W Companion hitch .

Thanks Doug

Great choice. Be sure to look on Craigslist. I found my 2 year old 20k Companion for the Ford prep package for only $500.

The new 2020 GM HD trucks will have a different puck layout vs previous year GM HD trucks. New hitch bases are just are ready or just about ready (my brother stated September 15th for B&W for a manual slider base).

YMMV.

Good luck.
