Fantastic Fan in Bathroom - What Vent Cover?

Do I need to buy the Fan Mate 850 Vent Cover or can I just go with a MaxxAir II? Has anyone had any experience with the Fantastic Fan and these vent covers?

I had Maxair on the MH I just sold. In most respects they work good. Better hail protection, wild wind & so on. Downfall-they didn't allow my Fantastic fan vent to open more than about 65 to 75%.

If you don't have the full power opening model of the fantastic fan, you can use a lower vent cover, slight air flow restriction.

Hindsight is 20-20 !!!
I put the max air II's on top my FF and regret it still....
Why do I have a fantastic item that I limited with the cover ?!?

I have to be the one that opens the FF since others don't seem to care that it's binding and grinding way before it should

You only do this once, so get the one (any one) that allows full opening !
If you really are sad and think nobody cares, just try missing a few payments ! '11 Monaco Diplomat 43DFT RR10R pushed by a Demco Excali-Bar II hitch which is pushed by a '14 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport.

We have Maxx Air II on both of our Fantastic Fans and it works just fine. I don't like the look of some of the other covers and I don't need 100% capacity of the fan so it's not been an issue. phillip

Fantastic Fan came out with one of their own design this year. I was at the GS Rally this year and they were selling them for $40. Works great. As you would expect they were selling fast. I tried a MaxAirII and didn't like the restricted cover opening. May be able to order direct from FF or through your RV dealer.

I installed a Fan Mate over the Fantastic fan in my bathroom and a MaxxAir II over the regular vent in the living room area of my 5vr. They both seem to work just fine. I was a little surprised how large the Fan Mate was when it arrived, but it does allow full flow with the fan.

The main reason I went with the Maxx Air products over other brands of covers is the screen material inside to keep out bugs. Mud dauber wasps are horrible here in Florida.

I might consider changing out both vents with the MaxxFan Deluxe fans since it incorporates the cover with the design and folds flat to the roof when not in use.
