Take a second look at the springs. Before I upgraded to beefier springs, I had the spring leaf that attaches to the hanger break and ride along the frame. This happened twice on different springs. Only way I noticed the problem was the difference in the tire spacing. You may have to crawl under the rig to get a good look.

Check tires for roundness. Believe it or not a friend of mine had two tires that rubbed sometimes. I checked everything on the suspension. Then we jacked up both axles on the rubbing side. The gap varied as the tires were rotated! Turns out both Chinese tires had gone egg shaped! Craziest thing I've ever seen!

Make sure you look at both sides, Not just the side where the tires are rubbing, the opposite side could be further apart.

I noticed this once with my tires being noticeably closer on one side. I drove from Ouray, CO to Farmington NM to a frame shop and they found that everything was square. But they also found that the tread had separated from the casing on one of the tires. Could have been a bad situation. Ended up replacing all four tires because there were bubbles on two other tires. Cheap factory supplied tires.

My 2013 Silverback 29re had 33" center to center on the axles, and 3" between the tires. I don't see how they could ever rub unless a main leaf, equalizer, or shackle broke.

I guess the spacing varies with trailers and tire size. My buddy's trailer (Newmar) had a much closer spacing than 3" (refer to post #4). When both tires had a tread separation (what are the chances?) the tires rubbed each other. You should have seen the grooves worn in each tire and the rubber deposited on the frame above the contact point!

Man, you got to get rid of those tires, might want to upsize in load rating if diameters allow for that. Check out Maxxis brand.
