Fifth wheel made for lots of gear

In our search for a used 5-10 year old fifth wheel, it seems some FW's are built more heavy duty to allow more personal gear weight than others. Can anyone stear us in a direction of some FW names that are know for a high (3000 lbs) carrying capacity? thanks

We opted for a 4 year old Carriage Cameo. Some others are Nuwa, Hitchiker and Teton.

Add Newmar to our list, but you'll only find used ones in a while as they just quit producing 5th wheels and are now totally MH's

We really appreciate you all throwing out some names. It really helps. I am assuming that a FW with a higher carrying capacity is a better built unit.

Not all 5erw are created equally. The names above are considered higher end unit and are heavier to begin with and are generally tagged with a higher GVWR.

Another higher end unit is Mobile Suited by DVR.

Most of these are large enough to require a well equipped diesel dually to pull them.

When looking at these trailers, you will find the Carriage and DRV trailer have a rectangular box structural steel frame consisting of stacked multiple members welded together for a stronger frame.

Lighter weight trailer utilize a thin wall C channel or I beam design which is considerable less rigid than the box sections.

Several of the names above are now out of business, but there are some really nice used trailers on the market.

The frame info is really helpful and interesting. Especially since we are looking to get a 5 or so year old unit. Ideally it would be great to find a FW/Truck combo.

Sunnybrook Titan Fifthwheel

Couldn't ask for a better frame in my opinion then what Sunnybrook put on their Titan Line of fifthwheels that they don't make anymore. They are a heavy trailer but well made. They have their weak points but no more or less then the average FW. It's a square tube stacked frame, solid as a rock.
See if you can find one.
