Filling Water Heater

When using city water after the storage season, will the water heater fill once the bypass valve is opened or does it have to be first filled from the storage tank? Camper manual is not clear on this.

Thanks.

It will only fill after you have opened a hot water faucet. Air pressure will prevent it from filling until a faucet has let the air out of your system.

Get all the pink stuff out first...then fill the water heater. Pink stuff in the water heater will foam FOREVER! Then it is just a matter of draining the water heater tank and refilling with good water.

Good luck!
