Flexible Electrical Cord
I read all I could about these but looking for real world experience. Surge Guard makes a 30 foot, 50 amp, supposedly flexible in all weather, cord with a model number 50A30MOSE. It has the male end but you have to purchase the female end separately. It has 3 6 gauge wires for load and an 8 for ground.
We tend to move a lot in our travels and there are times I feel like I'm trying to roll up a 30 foot steel rod especially in cool weather. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Without a female end , it was designed as a replacement for the original power cord.
I don't know what brand; of power cord; that Newmar used in my vintage coach , but the compound is flexible at all temperatures, at least down to 15f the coldest I've had to roll it up. Way easier than the cable on my last 5er.
Handling the cord , it's obvious that the insulation compound is closer to rubber than the near plastic insulation that some cords come with.

Check HomeDepot or a local electrical supply house. Tell them you want "SO" cord. It is extremely flexible. Should be 2-$2.50 per foot. Then buy the Camco yellow 50A ends. You will thank me! My connection is real slow where I am, will try tonight or tomorrow to post pics. The wholesale cost is about $1.80 per foot. Nice part is you buy the length you need!

I'm really hoping the power reel we optioned on our DRV will work as well as I'm imagining it will. Those 50A cords are beasts! Let us know what you end up doing.

Two part answer.
First.. If your RV has a detachable cord with Marinco outlet (on cord) and inlet (on RV) Camping world and most better RV stores have a shore (like 1 foot) 30 amp cord.. It has either a 30 or 50 amp Marinco outlet and a TT-30 plug (They have one with a 50 amp plug too)
You do not coil this puppy up. too short.
My RV dealer, when I got the motor home had some bright colored TT-30 Extension cords... NOT black but Bright orange, yellow red.. Turns out these were/are "All Weather" cords.. They coil up when temps are in the 20's like the black one does in the 80's.
But do check to insure before you take 'em to the counter and pay.

I like the 50 AMP power cord that is provided with the CEDAR CREEK units by Forest River. We have a manual roll up reel on our Cedar Creek that the cord will roll up on. I have only used this couple of times, but so far it is a vast improvement over our other 5er power cords. Does not weight as much as my older units cords weighed and has a three finger pull on the end of the cord for un-plugging at the service box.

They used a high quality cord on our MS 39TKSB3 power cord reel. Very flexible.

We are on a trip right now so can't do much. I did check with a local Home Depot yesterday and they did not have anything. I could only find one review on the Surge Guard cord which said it was still flexible in 20 degree weather. It is $127.99 plus $14 shipping on Amazon and I still have to buy the female end, unless I can use the one on my current cord. I need to look at that.
We'll be home next week and I'll do some more shopping. We are planning a late August trip to the Rockies so I want to have something by then as I expect we'll encounter some pretty cool weather by the time we get home around Oct 1.

It's hard to find good trailers these days. If nothing else, I'll always be happy with my cord. ; )

HAAAA
I actually really like our new 39 TKSB3. We need to get a few things dealt with and all will be well.
I sent Greg Weldon an Email this morning early about our grease caps on the axles and he has an UPS order in the process to go out today, that's service!!!
Even with our 07.5 MS that we were not the original owners they treated like we were. Always great service!
