I currently have a Artic Fox Silver Fox Edition 990 camper and the two kids are only getting bigger so we have been looking at 5th wheels, Jayco Eagle Lite and the Forest River both the Sierra and Wildcat.

I keep going back to the Wildcat based on finish work and construction of cabinets. If you look at the basement storage the Forest River has more to offer plus they insulate under the floors in the storage underneath.

I am looking ate the Wildcat 29BHBP. Anyone have experience with the Jayco or Forest River?

We bought a new 01 Sandpiper from FR and briefly put, the quality sucked and FR and the so called dealer would not fix the problems we had. Never again!

We had a Cougar BHS fiver with our children and loved it. The Wildcats floorplan and finish is about the same.

Owned a Jayco too. Wasn't too happy with the unit when the rubber roof started mushrooming up as we taveled down the road. Good thing a Class A waved us over before we lost the roof and air condition. I guess I got the lemon.

It can be a hit or miss situation with any brand. Dealers make or break the happiness for 95% of the people. Personally I could not be happier with my Forest River fiver. However the dealer sucks the big one. And unless it is something I cannot fix myself it will never see the dealers lot again.

Many of us who own Cats use this forum and while the group is comprised of owners, you will get great info.

We have owned a number of trailers which includes the Nash and Forest River and now a Keystone Montana. All three units had their plus and minus items. The Nash was a little small for what we needed. The Forest River Cardinal was nice and had lots of room and storage but it pulled like a rock. I hated pulling that trailer. Now that we have a Montana TT coming in at around 9k lbs...I enjoy pulling this trailer. It doesnt have a lot of storage but it has lots of room inside.
We really like our 2005 Keystone Montana!

Like others have mentioned, you can get a bad one in any brand. Most people like the quality for the price aspect of the two trailers you are interested in. I believe that FR has several plants making both the Sierra and Wildcat, so that could be an issue in some locations. Personally my Cedar Creek has been great and would recommend a FR product to others.

I have had 2 Forest River products, a Rockwood, and now a Wildcat. I have not had any major problems with either one. The service from both my dealer and Forest River have been excellent. I am a dedicated customer of Forest River products based on my experience over the last 7 years of owning their product.
