Fill slowly. Don't push the hose down into the opening. The fill is suppose to be vented but sometimes not well enough.

I had the opposite experience in my Coachman, took a washing machine hose, because it is small (1/2") and cut one end off, pushed it in till it got past filler tube, into the tank, fill easy then.

My Class C had a fitting that allowed me to connect a garden hose. Never worked always created a vacuum and would never fill.

The secret as posted above is to allow the fill tube to vent while filling. I bought on of these and inserted somewhere between 1/4 and 1/2 way in, problem solved. The diameter of this fill tube is small enough when inserted to allow venting.

What Tightwadted said. Believe it or not, if you don't want to go the washing machine hose route, they make a product just for this purpose. Used to have one, and it worked perfect, but gave it to the person who bought our Keystone Passport.

Our class A was like this.... I used a water hose nozzle to spray the water in the inlet,,, alowing air to escape. Worked good...

On a lot of rigs the vent hose will get water in it from splashing around in the tank when driving with a full or almost full tank. The fill line will backup with water when the tank is trying to vent its self. I have taken a small hose or filler hose end and put tight against vent and blow into it, to force the water back into the tank to clear the line. I alway try to do this when emptying the fresh tank before putting fresh water back in it. This doesn't work if you have a water center that you can fill while hooked up to city water source, with a turn of a valve. Just my two cents worth.
