Front electric landing gears

I'm posting this in the hopes that it will help someone else in the future if they have the same problem. The third time I hooked up my new fifth wheel after getting it, when I went to unhook it again, only one side of the landing gear would come down. No matter what I did, going up, going down, pulling down while hitting the button, it wouldn't come down. Finally, I put down the side that would work, put down the bad side with the internal manual leg, lowered the good leg and helped put the weight on the bad leg. Here's the bad part. The next time I hitched up, the bad leg started working again, and it was in the retracted position. So every time the bad leg got all the way up, the good leg stopped also, and it was extended. Even using the manual crank, once the one leg was all the way up it stopped the other leg.

Solution- there is a bolt and nut on the rod that goes across from one leg to the other inside the trailer. Take off the nut and take out the bolt. Then slide the outer rod over the inner rod. Hold it up with your hand, but just let it rotate freely while you hit the switch, and I extended the bad leg down to the same height as the good one. Hooked the rod back up, the retracted the gears and went down the road once again.
