Little metal feet that touch the ground to level and stabilize the trailer

Ok thanks. Aka- rear jack, leveler or stabilizers. I've never heard them called rear landing gear. Thanks again.

Well with a hydraulic system it is a landing gear. Both I have had both now. We have electric landing gear front (slow) and stabilizers on rear and I personally don't see any advantage in one over the other except the hydraulic system is faster than the electric.

Is it aftermarket? Auto leveling? How big is your trailer? Does it replace the fronts or just the rear? Do you have a link to or more info about them? I'm curious. I was wondering if I could put auto leveling on mine or at least electric/hydraulic on the rear. I suppose they are way more than electric huh? You're right, they are slow and mine are kinda gummed up or possibly bent cause I kept blowing fuses and it doesn't/didn't sound the best. Might be in the market for replacement soon, lol! I dumped a 1/2 quart motor oil down the top of each one in small doses while running them and it fixed it mostly, still doesn't sound healthy but no more fuse problems. The first owner bypassed the fuse and I burned out s couple switches till I figured that out. Not sure what happened exactly but I'm guessing previous owner did it since the fuse was cut out of the wiring harness and wired direct. Lol

Spare me with the Ford brainwashing. All three make great trks these days. You just need to figure on the size you need and then look for best deal.

They that's true, they will all get the job done if you don't care about looks, comfort, technology, but ford has the nicest interior and rides the best with dodge a very close second, and Chevy 3500 has plenty of power but the rest of it just sucks in my opinion, especially the ride. I don't like the outside styling of them either but you may like it and not the others, everyone has thier own tastes.

The interior at the top trim level isn't as nice with all the features that ford and dodge have but the interior won't probably matter much to you if you're not getting a platinum or longhorn or whatever the best trim with all the options is.

With as much as they cost id definitely check all three out if I was you and take them all for a test drive, I did and I ended up going with an f350 6.7l platinum and they are undeniably sweet but you're probably not gonna end up with one if you're wanting the cheapest tow vehicle.

Mine is my daily driver and I go on 2000 mile trips but if you're looking for just a truck to only drive when towing short distances and have another daily driver you can save a small fortune and get an older used one or even just a base model if saving cash is your goal. In that case is do more research on whatever model year that happens to be because they aren't always about the same as each other, all 3 makes have certain years I'd want to avoid or put a little more money into to fix the common problems for good.
