It will amaze you the difference good shocks will make also. Takes out most of that "chucking"

We tow our 16K GVWR 5th wheel with the B&W Companion 5th wheel hitch. The most effective change we've made that got rid of 80% or more of the fore/aft "chucking" was changing over from a solid to a Demco Glide Rite pinbox on the 5th wheel. It's probably better than advertised, based on our experience.

Rusty,

Did you install it yourself or have a dealer do it?

iRV2.com member Txiceman (who lives about 3 miles from us) and I installed it one Saturday afternoon.

Back to the weight issue here, check man. rec. pin weight against your loading and weights. Most 5ths need 15 to 20 % on the pin. I ran one trip at 13% and nearly bought the farm . 17% load on pin made a HUGE improvement.
Safe travels .
