Congrats on the new rig, Joe & Annette.

For the benefit of some readers who may not know, options that many folks think are only available on type A rigs are now readily found on fifth wheels, such as automatic self leveling and built-in generators. All pushbuttons, no boards or manual leveling.

But admittedly, us folks with fivers are unable to wander around in their rigs while going down the highway at 60 mph.

No need to say goodby, With all your years of experience I am sure you can be of great assistance to others.. Though I am in a class A, I had small trailers for years, and I've friends with trailers as well.. The result is I've learned more than I ever want to know about trailers. But it also means I have knowledge I can pass on.

No need to leave here.

And welcome to the Class A crowd... Alas, I am afraid I know a bit more than I ever hoped to learn about class A's too.. So far this year I have fixed the sealand model 111 toilet (new ball, shaft, spring cartridge and seals) and the furnace (new control board) and the door seal (Weathersripping) just to name 3 things I'd rather not know about class A's. (I should add all of this applies to trailers as well).

I really did not want to learn about that toilet repair.!!!

Within the past 12 months we have spent about $1000 on the furnace and a/c here at home. We're looking at a new roof before we sell the place, too, and probably new carpeting. All in all, a house isn't cheap, whether it is permanently installed or not.

I'm looking forward to selling this place and buying a mobile house so we can see the country.

Wow! Your signature suggests you get 18+ mpg towing! What rig combo do you have?
