Hard time finding CG

Out West, do you all find it hard to find CG that will hold a large rig. My 5er is 38' and not many can take one that large they say. Sedona area is where we are headed.

We had some problems with our 45' Monaco but still stayed in many Arizona state & county parks there-just had to pick the longer sites. With our 37' fifth wheel it's almost never an issue. If you look at the sites on the web most will tell you the length of each one and several have views of each available.

Have never found a private cg that couldn't take our 38 foot mh. Full maybe, but had sites large enough. Most cgs in and around Sedona have sites large enough.

Mine is 40 overall. I live in Arizona and head up north on most of my excursions. The only campground I have had problems getting in was Point of Rocks in Prescott. I almost always stay at Dead horse State park in Cottonwood which is about 30 minutes away from Sedona. It is a perfect base camp for that area because you are close to Jerome, Sedona, Prescott, and the Verde Valley. Sedona is beautiful but too touristy for me.

We have camped many times out west with our 37' Cedar Creek. We have camped from AZ, UT, NM, CO and the Dakotas. All in private campgrounds usually with pull through full hook up sites.

Try J&H campground in Flagstaff...also about a 35-40 min drive to Sedona (but it is a beautiful drive) Lots of big rigs there.

Try Rio Verde RV Park in Cottonwood. Many sites are big enough for you and they usually have space available. We are camped there currently in our 38 footer while our garage is being built.

You might check on Rancho Sedona RV Park. Right in Sedona. Ours is only about 32' but we saw other units there that were easily 40' when we were there.

Small sites are usually state and national parks. Most private cg are good
