Have you ever ridden inside your fifth wheel?

Just wondering, if anyone has ever been inside their fifth wheel to see what happens to your stuff as you go down the road?

Ez to see the results when you get there

but I never had any inclination to do that...

Heard a story of someone that left their cat in there one trip (and ONLY one trip)

Said it came out of there like a WILD cat

Don't allow it.

Carbon Monoxide poisoning.

It happened to some kids from my area about 15 years ago.

That's too funny! I can just imagine the cat springing out the door as soon as it opened.

Yeah, i wasn't thinking of riding back there on a trip... just down the road to see what's bouncing around, what needs to be tied down, cabinet doors that need tightened... those kind of things.

The big negative is that , as far as I'm aware, 5-ers and trailers don't have suspension shock absorbers, which means a very choppy, nausea-inducing ride. Maybe some of the high-end rigs have them.

If you do ride, even for relatively short distance, it would be a good idea for you to have 2-way communication with the TV driver.

I was traveling with a friend towing his fifth wheel and he pulled into a BP to get diesel in his truck. He saw the green handles and thought it was diesel. His wife and son went in the fifth wheel to go to the bathroom. When he found out they didn't have diesel, he opened the door and told them he was driving across the street. I believe his wife was already in the restroom, but claimed it was one of the worst 30 seconds of travel she's experienced.

The wife said riding in the Avion it was a roller coaster ride. Riding in the MS in the bedroom above the air kingpin she said it was a good ride.

My wife and daughter took a break from the truck and rode back there on a long trip. Fired up the generator, turned on the AC, and took a nap. The ride was fine. The covers on the range top rattling made her crazy. Everything else was quite stable.
