Ok a couple of days ago i posted that my surburban sw12de hot water heater was having trouble keeping hot water. now the electric element is Driving me crazy!!! The 2 wires going to the element have juice going thru them until i hook them up to the element?????? Even when i check for juice at the wire no juice going thru the wire themselves until i remove from the element. Going crazy in Georgia. Dudley

You should take it to someone that can check the current. It is possible the element is dead too.

Remove the wires from the element. Then check the element post for continuity. If there is none, the element is burned out. This is done with the power turned off, of course.
