Help - 2016 Chevy HD3500 5th Wheel Rig Set-up

Hello Everyone,

I'm building my rig to support our future fifth wheel purchase and need some experienced advice from this vast community. What is the best hard fold tonneau cover solution with a diamond plate tool box 60"L x 20"H in the front of the bed? I have an 8' bed dually 4x4. I was hoping for something I could access from the front so I can get to my tools. I'm really not a big fan of the rear tool box as it will limit my hauling items and restrict my truck bed use. I would like to lock and hide everything away when I'm not connected to the future fifth wheel. You know the saying "out of sight; out of mind" from those itchy/sticky finger types. Thanks!

Darren

I now use a Truxedo Truxsport roll up cover that I really like. When I had my F150 I had a G2 BakFlip and liked it as well. You only lose a few inches in front and can stand it straight up against the window for access. I like my bed (& contents) out of sight when not towing. Check out tonneaucoversworld.com for a large selection and good prices.

Thanks for the info. I will take a look. I realized in order to ensure proper clearance, I should purchase the hitch and trailer first to determine hight distance of the truck bed and bottom front of the fifth wheel.

I am installing the Gator fx5 aluminum folding cover on my new Ram. Like the BakFlip it props ugainst the rear window for full use of the bed. I do not have a tool box but I bet it would fit.
