Help With Replacing Carpet

Hello,

My husband and I are currently remodeling a 5th wheel. We've ripped out all of the carpet and lanolium to replace is with allure flooring.

We found this piece of wood under our slide out and can't figure out what it is. It would be a pain to try to work around it.

It's about an 1" wide and sticks out two inches. Could we cut it out? Can anyone help us out?

I believe that piece of wood goes the full width of the slide out and it serves as a lift to raise the slide out floor so it doesn't drag on the carpet The 'extension' on each side is excess tolerance for slide out misalignment. They can probably be cut off, but all this is just my best guess.

You don't mention it, but that is a lot of water damage visible...hope your reconstruction found the problem.
