That's just a heavy frost compared to near Warrenton - got close to two feet and it's still coming down (sideways, mostly).

On a clear day, you can see Afton Mountain (VA) beyond the trees...we have 18" and it is still snowing!

The Afton Mtn. area is stunningly beautiful, but you guys do get some wind/weather/storms! On a return trip from Big Meadows campground on the Skyline Drive, I thought I would drive home to Lynchburg via the Blue Ridge Parkway. I love severe weather, but I was pulling the 5th wheel and it took many hours in the fog to get home.

I've been very happy with that shelter. Some local folks wonder why I didn't get a back wall and a front door, and why I didn't go all the way to the ground with the sides. I thought a long time about all that, and I wanted lots of light, wanted all the leaves to be able to blow through, and I wanted to see if anybody was messing around under there. I have power, water, and motion detecting lights. It's worth every penny to be able to maintain the camper or do unrelated projects in a lighted, protected area. Plus, I may never have to replace the rubber roof of the 5er.

We are east of Richmond on the Northern neck, snow sleet and now more snow. Since we are volunteering at the NWR here we are of course living thru it.

Must be nice though - RVs are pretty cozy, maybe a little confining. I measured 9" of snow and it didn't snow very much since morning. Now the wind is blowing pretty good. I heard that there is some concern of flooding when this stuff melts. Stay warm there in Northern Neck.
