I am having issues with a gray tank valve. Its a cable valve that i can pull but valve not open. What do i need to check or do to get it open?

One thing it might be frozen being it's cold now in most places. But if the cable is not broken you need to trace the cable to the valve have someone pull the handle while you see what it is doing, some time you can get needle nose pliers on the shaft to free it up, hot water in the tank will help if frozen from cold, and make sure there is no pinch points or places where the cable will bind, those cables are like a mower cable they work best if there as stright as possiable.

you say it doesn't open...silly question (sorta like do you have gas in the tank)

but how can you tell ?
maybe the tank is empty already ?

reason I ask, is my wife did that to me - dumped grey and didn't tell me - I looked at it for a while until she asked what I was doing ?!?! DOOH !

Now sweetie - how am I supposed to rinse out the black stinky slinky I just dumped ? Thanks for helping darling
