Holiday Rambler Presidential 5er - what do you think?

Just got a sales pitch e-mail from a dealer I worked with about 1 year ago. Anyway - the Ad is for the 2014 (yes 2014) Presidential 5er. To be honest this 5er was not even on my radar. I know HR built 5ers years ago. From the pics it looks like a different color Trilogy. I am about to research. If anyone has beat me to it - what do you think?

Check out this article. I'm still not really that fond of anyhting calling themselves high end that is built on an I-beam frame. Check out the Lifestyle Luxury RVs. Phillip

I like some of the ideas -the raised rear living room so that there is additional outside storage underneath. Radiused ceiling is cool if there is also the height of high-profile fiver. Also like the independent suspension.

Not sure I understand the distinction of high-end and I-beam frame. What else would you have?

I would think that if they are selling that they have a custom frame, it would be Navistar designed and built, and not sourced from Lippert.

Ugh - I read the RV Business Article on the Presidential. Learned that Forest River makes the Triolgy and not Dynamax, and now Navistar owns HR. Learning stuff everyday !!

A boxed fame instead of I beam. Redwood has a "custom frame" but still I-beam. DRV has a box frame that they design but Lippert built.
Hopefullly they (Presidential) will be represented at the 2013 Tampa RV Super Show. Soemthing else for me to check out! Phillip

Dynamax builds the Trilogy, Forest River owns Dynamax. Each division is independently run. For instance Cedar Creek makes the Cedar Creek and the CC Silverback, The Cardinal is made in their own factory so on and so forth. In the end they have to show numbers to Berkshire Hathaway owner of Forest River.

They had a prototype at the Daytona Beach Good Sams. I was really impressed with it. The way they insulate eliminates thermal bridging, and alot of thought went into it. I talked with the guy that designed it for quite a bit. I think it will be a big hit.

We looked at it at the Rally in Daytona and yes it had some really neat features, but if I remember correctly, plan on a Really BIG TV as it's not a light weight.
