How do I suck up bleach into water tank?

Manual is vage. I have a 60 gal tank. Was able to drain it out of white hose with valve on drain and the aid of the elec pump. How do I suck the 1 gal solution of water and 1 cup of bleach into the water tank. Is the red hose suction?

Hi

I think both of those tubes are drains.the red is maybe the hot side drain. You might have a suction hose somewhere that's used when you winterize, if not pour the bleach into the hose you use to fill the tank, that's what I did
When doing the bleach thing.

I agree. The simplest way is to pour the bleach into the hose. Hook to the inlet first, then pour the bleach into the water hose. All that is left to do is hook the other end to your fresh water tap and turn it on.

Ok, guess I will need to pour it in hose side when pump is on as the fluid just sits there with pump off...had to go to work so was unable test, but that should be the ticket with valve on fill, right? BTW nothing really came out of red hose...that may be the vent for water tank? Thks kc
