When I had spacers inserted between the axles and springs, the HDT shop supported the 5er with huge air jacks at the rear of the 5er and left the 5er front jacks down to support the front end of the 5er. They obviously felt this was safe, 2 mechanics were crawling around underneath for an entire day.
