The ice was clear. I am taking it back to the dealer on saturday morning and he is going to fill all the holding tanks with water, and check for leaks. Then he is going to dewinterize the whole system and pressure test everything. Then he is going to winterize again, this time under my watchful eye. I will feel a whole lot better on saturday. Thanks again to everyone for your concern and thoughts. I love this forum. I will keep you all posted on what the outcome is on saturday. P.S. Now that I learned to post pics...Here is the new rig.

When I winterize my tt, I don't put any RV antifreeze in the holding tanks. Some might get in when I run the pink thru the toilet, or when I pour some in the "P" traps. Your picture is great to show the dealer the clear colored ice.

Jeeze!! I'm glad you're taking it to the dealer and letting them check it out. Good luck to you.

Just got back from the dealer. There was no damage from the ice. We filled all of the holding tanks and pressurized the system with no leaks. I feel much better now. We did identify a small problem with the water pump. It was making a lot of noise. Turns out one of the pieces of pex was touching the subfloor and rattling. One strap and the noise is gone. Spring, here we come. Can't wait to get out now. The winter here has been mild compared to past ones, and my family has the camping bug raging now. I would like to say a word about Midwest RV and it's owner Bob Meyer. This was our second purchase from him, our first being a popup, and he has treated us like gold from ourt very first dealings. The customer service there is excellent and they drop everything to make sure that you are a happy camper, no pun intended. He did the walk through, dewinterizing, and rewinterizing today personally. He was the one on his hands and knees making sure that I was satisfied. If anyone is in the st. louis area and shopping for an RV I would say look him up.

Glad it all turned out okay. Also, thanks for the kind words for the dealer. All too often we complain loudly about a slightest mistake, and never say a word about the dealer who went the extra mile. We need to hear about those guys, too.

there should have been NO WATER in the tank or pipes and so bring it in and WATCH what they do to thaw out, insist they put lots of water in your tanks and then look for leaks, and if they need to fix totally. NO WATER should be there and LITTLE antifreeze that would not freeze in a chunk blocking the outlet of the waste tanks, SHAME ON THE DEALER or the people who transported it to the dealership but still the dealer should have checked this and he certainly DID NOT WINTERIZE OR IF HE DID IT DID NOT OPEN THE OUTLET FIRST LIKE YOU WOULD TO MAKE SURE NO WATER OR WASTE IN TANKS.
