Totally agree with Cummins. We have the Dexter disk brakes with Zero problems. The biggest problem was finding the location of the settings choices. Our RAM is a '14.

Maybe it is brake actuator specific. I have a Titan actuator with Kodiak disc brakes and could not get IBC to recognize the actuator, kept saying no trailer brake connected. Contacted Titan tech dept. and they are the ones that suggested the magnet idea. Titan said they have been in contact with Dodge since it was working on 2014 and earlier models and they only were hearing about this from 2015 owners. They told me so far neither they nor Dodge could figure out what changed to cause this. It's no big deal but thought I would give a heads to save some possible frustration

Since Cummins has a '15 I doubt that it is related to the year.
Recently I was trouble shooting a trailer hookup problem. To isolate I pluged the 5ver 7-pin directly into the bumper plug. It worked!!! My problem was in the bed plug. Problem fixed. Try pluging the 5ver directly into the bumper plug. See what happens. Also, you might buy a plug tester. I had found that the bed plug was missing lights and the bumper plug was OK.

Tried that, no go. but hook it up to buddies 14' and worked no problem. guess it's and issue with my truck and Ram owners using Titan actuator

If You've Got A Ram Truck And A DRV Suites Trailer

Picked up our suite yesterday. Definitely very happy that we put the 2" riser on the trailer, as these 4X4 Rams are pretty tall.

The B&W companion is as low as possible, the pinbox as high as possible, and the trailer is still a bit high in the front.

With 30 psi in the air bags the trailer still dropped the truck by 2.5 inches. I didn't bother to weigh the trailer, as we just wanted to get it home to move in.

Also, no problems with the brake communications. We had a problem with a brake line coming off of the trailer and emptying the brake fluid reservoir, but the signals were all working wonderfully.

2015 Ram 3500 Laramie Longhorn CC LB Dually. Cummins, Aisin, 4X4, 4.10 gears. Max towing-28,750. Max payload-5,436. 2016 DRV Mobile Suites 41RSSB4 on order.

With a unloaded MS I doubt you will need any air in your bags. With 5K pin I would run 30psi LOADED pressure on the bags on my 11 HO Dually.

Now I just hook up and let the factory bags do the job and that they do!

9,500# sitting on the rear tires in this pic!

Love that picture. Beautiful setup.

The first time we raised the landing gear the truck dropped about 5" or 6" (I didn't measure, I was just surprised) with the bags at 15 psi. I thought I would go ahead and bring it up a bit since I don't have the fancy auto-level. A 2.5" drop looked pretty good with the trailer, so I'm pretty happy with 30. It will be interesting to see what the loaded pin weight is, as dear wife certainly filled the closet to the brim.

I like that pic angle. Yea my wife is a "Collector" she most certainly has something to do with the 23K weight!

I like the truck to sit level when hitched to slightly rear high. That is where the auto rear air keeps mine at. Had in cab bag controls on the 11 RAM Dually and found the best ride and it sat level at 30psi. Too much air really worsens the ride quality.

Hey all, I just picked up my DRV Suites trailer. After hooking up, I can't get the Ram truck to change the brake controller to Heavy, EOH. It shows Light Electric on the read out. It seems to stop okay; one of the techs at the dealership installed a control module to try and fix it. Any ideas of how to fix it?

Your dealership wasted their time or yours. Read your manual it's not hard at all to set it to heavy.
