Jayco 5er

Hello,
I have a 2015 Jayco Eagle HT 28.5 RSTS.
After 2 years of traveling , time for new tires. From advice given , I am upgrading wheels to 16" and new Goodyear Unisteel G614 RST Radial Tires.
I have had blowouts on other trailers , all causing significant damage.
These tires should allow miles of "carefree" use.
There are many tires and options out there.
This is what I chose based on reviews read.

Another good and perhaps superior brand is Sailun.

I just got my new Sailun tires and going to have them mounted and balanced starting tomorrow. I'm taking off 2 at a time, 2 new tires and 2 tires and rims are in the bed of the truck.

I ordered them from Simple Tire. I ordered on Thursday morning and FedEx unloaded them at my house on Friday afternoon. Pretty fast delivery and shipping was free. Their date codes on all of them was 4517 so they are really quite new tires. Basically 4 months old. I have ordered from Simple tire before and have had good luck with them.

I went with Sailun because of the good reviews I have read on them.

I only have a 1,000 miles on my present Westlakes but their less than stellar reputation I decided to change them now. I was going to have metal valve stems installed for my TPMS and replace the rubber one so figured do it all at one time.

My trailer already has 16" wheels on it.

Even the best tires cannot be called "carefree". Be sure to use a TPMS or at least check the pressure each morning. Low pressure causes most tire problems.

tire update

Just back from a 3,000 mile trip.
Tires were great. Mostly 65 mph w/ occasional 70 mph bursts.
Was nice to not worry about tires. My old take off 15" tires went to my friend's old Avion rig he is restoring for sale.
