Jayco fresh water tank siphons water out
We have a 2011 Jayco Eagle Superlite 30.5 RLS fifth wheel camper. It has dual fresh water tanks. When we fill the tanks with a hose and the water begins to run out of the overflow tubes, it does not stop running until the tanks are drained down to only 1/3 full. THis is with the camper sitting still, not moving. We have also stopped filling the tanks before they overflowed, but had water drain out when traveling, again draining down to approx. 1/3 full. We have taken the camper to the dealer to have this corrected, however Jayco has suggested putting valves on the overflows to fix the problem. This is not acceptable as it would cause us to crawl under the camper each time it is filled to open or close the valves. Also, this could cause vacuum difficulties if we forget to open them upon arriving at a campground, because these are the vents for the tanks. Has any other Jayco owner had this problem? If so, was there a better "fix" than what Jayco has recommended to our dealer?
