We want to buy a well constructed 5th wheel and have almost narrowed our choice to the Pinnacle or Cedar Creek. Would be open to hearing about others that are also good. We have a Montana now--rear kitchen--and although we like the floor plan, we have had a few problems with the exterior. Decals peeling off and black tank always getting plugged up.

if your looking for quality,I wouldn't look at jayco,they are bottom line as far as i'm concerned. I had an avion 5th wheel that was very nice,very good quality. But if you have to choose between the two,take the cedar creek.

We've owned 2 Jayco Designer 5th wheels - a 1996 Designer 3030RKSS and a 2000 Designer XL 3610RLTS. Both were reliable units that we felt were the best value at their respective price points. Both were covered by Jayco's 2+3 warranty (2 year bumper-to-bumper, 5 year structural), and Jayco's customer service sets the gold standard as far as I'm concerned.

We currently have a Jayco Pinnacle and have been very happy with it.
No major problems or issues with our Pinnacle for us.
The Pinnacle has good solid construction and is a good value.
I think both the Pinnacle and the Cedar Creek are good units at their price point.
Both were on our short list, we wound up with the Pinnacle due to finding what we wanted in a dealer inventory at the right price.
Jayco is a first class operation and has taken care of the minor issues we have had with out question.
Again we like the 2 year Jayco warranty and customer support.

we had an 06 cedar creek, special built for us...
IT was awesome
only things that gave us issues was one microwave, and a battery after three years of FULL time service
we had a genny, dual a/c dual pane winders, the whole enchilada

it only got traded when they had a fire sale on the tuscany

Our first 5th wheel was a Jayco. When we were looking for a new unit, we looked at everything. We chose the Cedar Creek becuase of the floor plan, we ordered a 2009 Cedar Creek 36RD5S and love it, Jayco did not offer anything like it. Both companies, have GREAT service and support, used both. So, I would say, get what you want, the one that suits your needs and desires. Then have fun!!

If you really want quality you need to look at Mobil Suites, Hitchhiker, New Horizons...rather than the Jayco or Forest River.

I know very little about the two brands you mentioned but they must be good units based on the comments. I would add Excel to the list. Toured the factory and the way they build them is very impressive.

Yes they are very impressive. Mr Peterson partner in Peterson Ind. the Co. that builds the Excel is also very Impressive.

If I where in a position to purchase that level of quality I would certainly look at Excel
