Jayco roof issues?

We are looking at an 07 Jayco Eagle 29 (34 overall) to buy. I noted some wrinkles or more like bubbles along one side of roof and a couple on one of the slide roofs. I believe the roof is rubber? Is this a serious issue ?

Recall reading someplace a certain year Jayco had some serious roof problems. Seems like it was the 06 or 07

Any advice appreciated,
Ray and Terrie

It can be a potential issue. In the world of residential and commercial roofing where they use EPDM style roofing (which RV roofing is as well), the roofing must be applied flat and should not "tent, wrinkle, or bubble". If it has any of these deficiencies it will become an area of concern over the years as these areas break down at a faster rate then the rest of the roofing. Also roofs are typically walked on for inspection, snow removal, etc., if these areas are walked upon (especially when hidden snow, debris, etc.) the potential for punctures, rips, etc. is increased. Some pictures would definitely help to determine the severity of the deficiencies.

I had an '03 Jayco Class C. From the time I purchase it (new) I was concerned about some bubbling on the roof. Esp. near the A/C. Well, thru 5 years of ownership, that spot near the A/C became more of a concern. While atop the coach to clean the roof, I stepped on that spot & it sounded like the plywood was delaminating. (under the rubber) At the 5 year mark, when we decided to trade up, I pointed this out to the dealer, reminding him of the "problem". He maintained the "It's no problem".

To me, it just wasn't right.

Jayco at that time still may have been using TPO roofing and some wrinkling is acceptable as per the company that sells that vinyl material.
