Well, we just got home from Ohio picking up our new Wildcat 311THX. We're real happy with the layout, although they did change a few thing from what is I the brochure. We had to give p a few conveniences but the tankless water heater more than makes up for this! We will be leaving (mass.) for Texas the day after x-mas. My wife and I own a business selling metal detectors and gold prospecting gear, and we will be traveling the country setting up at trade shows and outings. They small toy hauler function in this unit should really fit the bill. Well, that's it for now. Thanks for listening to me ramble.

Nick

New rig! Woo Hoo!

Even better, you're going to put it to good use this winter. Feel free to ask any questions, and there will be plenty, and keep us up to date on your adventures.

Happy trails...

Congrats! The hubby and I bought the same unit this fall and LOVE it! Best toyhauler we have ever owned! You said you traveled to Ohio to buy it, did you pick it up at RV Wholesalers in St. Mary's, that's where we snagged ours! Hope you're enjoying yours as much as we are!

I wonder if they made it out of Massachusetts? The OP stated they'd be leaving the day after Christmas & that was just when that big snow storm whet up the coast.

Nuggetville - Did ya get on your way?

Sure did! Thanks for the concern... We missed the weather literally by minutes. In PA we actually saw a few flakes and some wind so we motored on to VA. Had lots of COLD but no snow. We are now in TX and it is still cold but not like back home. So far the trailer is doing well by us, at least now that week 1 is in the books. We stayed in Carlsbad, NM and the Guadalupe NP. I'll tell ya this park of the country is gorgeous. Talk to you all soon...

Nuggetville--How do you like that Wildcat? We are looking for a wilcat as well. How do you like that tankless water heater? We do alot of dry camping and cant afford to let the water run to get hot or we will be out of water in no time.

We are really liking the unit so far. We have been full time in the unit and driven over 4000 miles. The only thing with the tankless heater is that they did not put in a big enough pump in and the shower will not stay on due to low water pressure. The pump has to pull water from the tank in the rear push it to the rear where the water heater is then back up to the shower. That is the only real issue we have had so far. We will be contacting FR about the issue and let you know what they say. Buy the wild cat, you will love it!
