Just me, or do you feel the need to dry the awning
I try to blow off, or knock off leaves and pine needles from the awning. If I break camp when the awning is wet, I like to dry it out at home. I go to some extremes to do this. Anybody else?

I always open mine up when I get home if I had to roll it up wet. Otherwise, it doesn't smell too good the next time out.

I do as well-mainly so the stitching doesn't rot.
Edit; I changed my signature in the user cp but it appears it did not take. As long as it is there I will say that I had to remove all four slide toppers and have them re-stitched.

I had black mold develop in a rolled up wet awning on a previous rv. I never could get the stains completely removed. I now dry it as quickly as I can.

If mine is wet when I roll it up, then that is how it stays. I can't open it at home inside the RV garage and it is much easier unloading the camper inside than parked outside, so in it goes right away. I may wait long enough to drain the water heater and fresh water tank, but that is not enough time for the awning to dry.

I open it up when I get home if we had rain. Don't like scrubbing the mold spots.
