Keystone Montana 3650RK

I recently bought a used 3650RK and camped this weekend. After I dumped the black tank I hooked up a hose to the tank flush and turned on the water which went nowhere. Is there another switch inside to turn on the tank flush? It appears that the tank flush is hooked to a tube that goes up the wall next to the shower hot/cold water supply lines. I'm really perplexed!

Failed backflow prevention valve. Find and replace. Easy fix.

The tank flush in mine goes up under the bathroom sink to an air gap back flow preventer, and then down to the black tank. There's no valve or anything to stop it from flowing, once pressure is applied.

Now, my fresh water inlet is in the same compartment in the basement, and it does have a valve to switch between direct city water and filling the fresh tank. Are you sure you're on the flush inlet and not the fresh water or winterization ports?

Best of luck. 😃

No, it's not the same engine that had all the issues in semis.

Could be the former owner capped off the black tank flush at the vacume breaker due to a leak. Check under the bathroom sink.

That could be, Stickdog. The valve will leak if the pressure of the water coming in is too low. Found that out the hard way. That would be the first place I'd look.

backflow prevention valve

Would keystone be so stupid as to bury the backflow valve inside a wall? It's not under the bathroom sink.

Yes, and many others...
Backflow (if there is one) should be near where the hose connection is; anti-siphon is probably located behind shower wall at a higher point than any other water line in trailer.
You first should locate the area behind where the hose connection is for the flush line--look for a check valve right behind the hose connection. If there is one, take it off and inspect. If bad/blocked, clean or replace.
