One other bath thing about CW is that each store is a franchise. Makes it easier to get bad service.

With our 2002 Dutch Star DP the dealer had it for 115 days out of the first 315 days of ownership. Even then I had to drive the rig to Nappanee from WA State. Luckily our lemon laws required Newmar to pay for all transportation costs. The front axle was a 12,000# unit and the rig weighed 12,050 empty if I filled the fuel and propane tanks. So it became a lemon law problem.
Nobody stepped up an made any payments for us either. I did get the dealer on a promotion though. They put out fliers to people saying they would give you a free TV if you bought between certain dates and we signed the final papers during that time. Of course the dealer argued that we bought it when we placed the order. Even the AG's office sided with us so finally they dealer sent the TV. Still have it in fact in the front room.

Just a quick update:

Camping World Calera call me today. I spoke with Good Sams Club and told them about the issue 2 weeks ago. Camping World Calera called me today to let me know they would NOT be making a payment on to me like Forest River did. I told them I was sorry they felt that way and I would take my business else to someone that wanted me as a customer. I also canceled my Good Sams Club membership. I can't support a company that has this kind of customer support.

Right now I am in the process of getting the rest of my parts sent to another dealer as I do not feel comfortable dealing with Camping World Calera anymore. I"ll give you an update of what happens from here.

Boy oh boy how CW stays in business amazes us. We had the same story as yours. We went to CW Facebook page and all social Media network and email Marcus. Told them each time they would said we're sorry, I would stop them and tell them, look I know your sorry that's why I'm calling try to hire some good people and do better. Corp. don't care, they pass the buck down the line. You done the right thing and moved on. Happy Trails.

Camping world in Canton Ohio cheated me out of $4,000 in work not done or not done correctly and took a month for a few days work. Stay away from them for service and warranty. General RV a smaller competitor is no better. All Forest River and Keystone warranty issues are bad due to their shoddy build quality. If you have a good dealer it is not so bad. If you have a bad dealer your rig might take months for a days worth of work. 83% of the market is Thor or Forest river and both are fighting for the bottom of the quality barrel.

When i bought our last used MH and new to RVing i got the CW extended warranty.
First mistake.

i had them install and hook up everything so i could tow DW car. All in all it came out okay until i looked under the car and they had a hot power wire with no additional protection going in and out of a frame hole. A potential dead short. I cut the wire routed it correctly, solder and shrink wrapped. That was the last time the would touch my coach.

I now go to Giant Recreation World in Ormond Beach Florida and the same mechanic Carl is the only one they schedule when my MH needs work. I did have to pay a $100 deductable vers CW $50. Worked out fine as it was some 50 miles closer.

Thought I would give a positive comment about my problem and dealer. After having 2 well used 5th wheels, the DW and I bought a new KZ Durango in July 2015. In Sept that year as we loaded for a 2 week trip, one of the main slides would not open. We called our dealer, Apache Camper in Lincoln, NE and explained our problem. We had it there at 8 the next morning, they found the problem - poorly installed slide motor and bracket from Lippert, they did a repair, built new bracket, and we were on our way by noon. They then ordered a new slide motor, bracket, etc and installed it in January, they had our unit only 2 days. Maybe it is just luck, but we were certainly impressed with their timely and professional work.
