This much rot tells me this has been going on for quite some time (maybe from time of purchase) with no indication of leaks. I was getting ready to put new tires and roof membrane cleaning and seal. We want to downsize but now the camper is useless. Has anyone else had experience with the KZ rear slide TT and the rotting substructure? If you have had this problem please let me know how you handled it. The camper is 13 years old but I never expected something like this to happen!!
You can't let a trailer sit and expect it not to leak. Being that old, they require maintenance to keep water out. Any unit, not just KZs.
To handle the problem you take it apart, replace bad wood, put it back together, and seal it up.
