Got reservations in Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania. Thinking of Alabama and the Adirondacks in New York.

Have done the "rockies" many times - have good brakes and gear down going down hill.

Have enjoyed it very much. No problems. The toilet is built up on a high platform. That kinda sucks but not that big of a deal. We did take out the booth table and replaced with free standing. Also took out the table between the two chairs and replaced with one that was deeper and more practical. The wardrobes are about long enough for a shirt. Down side to that is there is a 3 foot space between bottom of wardrobe and "bed stand". Have hit my head right on the corner. Not cool. Am looking for some one to remove the wardrobes and replace with a custom job that goes almost all the way down.

Good suggestions! I need to check out that wardrobe. Guess that's one of those things you don't realize until you use it. Our only concern is a water mark in the corner by the 'bay window' by the front door. No soft spots on the floor though. Also he said the heater only works intermittently. We are hoping these aren't major deals because its in awesome shape otherwise.

Hope I'm in the right place. First post since joining irv2 last week! We bought a 94 Sportsmens 2301 last fall, but haven't taken it camping yet. So excited!

DH has camped his whole life. We started tenting together 12 yrs ago and love it! Will miss "roughing it".

Looking forward to learning from everyone. Happy trails!

Wife and I enjoy ours. We started tent then pop up. Much happier and camp more often since there is no packing and little setup. Just back up hook up and go

I have a 2000 KZ Sportsman TT with the rear slide bedroom. I have not been using it much but my mom comes and visits and she love to sleep in it. While I was setting it up for her current stay I discovered the complete right rear corner (wood framework) of trailer has disintegrated from rot!! I was sick!! This much rot tells me this has been going on for quite some time (maybe from time of purchase) with no indication of leaks. I was getting ready to put new tires and roof membrane cleaning and seal. We want to downsize but now the camper is useless. Has anyone else had experience with the KZ rear slide TT and the rotting substructure? If you have had this problem please let me know how you handled it. The camper is 13 years old but I never expected something like this to happen!!

You can't let a trailer sit and expect it not to leak. Being that old, they require maintenance to keep water out. Any unit, not just KZs.
To handle the problem you take it apart, replace bad wood, put it back together, and seal it up.
