Landing gear relay

have had problems with landing gear switch burn out due to overload would like to fit a relay switch to take the load , can anyone advise me on how to wire one into the system .

Landing gear? Are we talking about a fifth wheel? If so, you can probably get more help in the 5W Trailering Forum.

It's easier to just install a switch with a higher amp rating, maybe 50A or so. Any decent auto parts store can get you one of whatever size and type you need. Or a Grainger store.

These switches to my knowledge are not available in auto parts store. Grainger would be best bet. The switch is a double pole double throw type normally 30A or higher. A HD relay could be wired in with out to much problem if room is available. If I remember correctly my Kountryaire switch has five terminals. Each landing gear leg has it's own switch tho some fivers have one switch for both legs.

Landing gear is on Grand Junction 5th wheel and has one switch with six terminals.
