Does anyone know who the manufacturer of the landing gear on a 2002 Salem Sport Toy Hauler? I need to replace the leg and gear box but I can't find one that fits. I ordered a complete replacement unit from Domar Products, but it doesn't match up. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Landing gear sounds like a part for an airplane - am I missing something here?

The landing gear is the front leveling/support/jacks on a 5th wheel trailer

On my previous 5er I had to replace the landing gear on it. I simply took it to my local RV repair shop and he replaced it. To my knowledge there is no landing gear for each type of 5th wheel. Talk to a repair shop and they will replace it for you or order it so you can put it on. Gook Luck; hope this helps

I agree that they are not one off pieces, however, you might try contacting the trailer manufacturer to get the same part numbers etc. From past experience with landing gears they are problems to remove easily. I had to dig a 3 foot hole in the dirt then back the trailer over the hole to drop the landing gear out and clear of the trailer. Then, the same to reinstall the new one.

Probably components are made by Lippert components. Do a web search for Lippert and you should be able to get what you need directly from them.

I had a '99 Forest River Sierra; one of the landing gear went bad and for the life of me I can't remember what brand it was. I wasn't an Atwood, which you can find anywhere; I had to have a local dealer order it for me. I was a 10 minute job to replace it after I blocked that side of the trailer and manually retracted the leg.
