Exclamation Leaf Springs broke

Has anyone been able to collect on an insurance claim from secondary damage done from a broken leaf spring. I know they wont cover the springs but I think they should cover the broken welds on the frame. I hit a pot hole in a rain storm.

Thank you

Probably not. Even if you could collect the cost of repairs would probably be less than your deductible. Spring pack= about $75.00 Certified welder for an hour or so= maybe $150.00. What is your deductible?

So what did your ins company say when you asked them?

Unless its over a thousand dollars, I wouldn't bother.

Insurance will increase to cover whatever loss they pay out.

Whether you see it or not in premium increases, you will still pay for it one way or another.

Insurance in my mind is for emergencies of a catastrophic nature, not this type of issue.

Best of luck!

Hope this helps!

Some ins. companies have a clause that excludes "wear and tear". The only way to know is read your policy closely, and if still unsure talk to your agent.
